The aim of the Szemrédi Foundation is to help as many socially disadvantaged, talented, hardworking and exceptionally able students as possible during their school years.
The founders, Gabriella Szemrédi and Dr. Zoltán Szemrédi, a Hungarian-American couple, established the Foundation in 2013 out of their love for the Hungarian nation. Their donation forms the Foundation’s endowment, and its returns allow the Foundation to pursue its goals over the long term.
Working with partner organisations, the Szemrédi Foundation helps cover the educational and upbringing costs of students in need. It supports the discovery and nurturing of young talent, as well as single parents in difficult circumstances and their children. Our partner organisations are presented on the Our Partners page.
Our goal is that as many students in need as possible receive a sound moral education and take in a spirituality and knowledge that they can put to use for the benefit of the Church and their homeland.
